Senior Tax Associate – UAE VAT, Corporate Tax & Transfer Pricing

About the role

The Senior Tax Associate will support the Head of Corporate Finance in managing Expo City’s UAE tax compliance, covering VAT, Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing. The role ensures accurate preparation, filing and reporting to meet Federal Tax Authority regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file periodic VAT returns, compute output and input VAT, and manage VAT refund claims.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of UAE Corporate Tax returns, compute taxable income and maintain working papers.
• Identify, document and file Transfer Pricing documentation, including Local and Master Files, and disclose related‑party transactions.
• Perform monthly VAT and quarterly Corporate Tax reconciliations with the general ledger and investigate differences.
• Maintain a tax compliance calendar, prepare MIS reports and support audits and FTA inspections.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with UAE VAT Law and Corporate Tax, preferably in‑house or in a tax advisory firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA) or UAE tax certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and ability to work independently while keeping senior management informed.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UAE VAT Law, Executive Regulations and Corporate Tax legislation.
• Experience with FTA portal (EmaraTax) e‑filing and VAT refund processes.
• Familiarity with Transfer Pricing principles and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
