Senior Technical Designer (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

Transguard Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to support a government client in Dubai for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment. The role involves delivering high‑end hospitality, luxury residential and premium mixed‑use projects from concept through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details and construction documentation.
• Produce Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing packages and specify materials, finishes, fixtures and furnishings.
• Coordinate with interior designers, architects, structural engineers and MEP consultants to resolve clashes and ensure design intent.
• Conduct site visits, support contractor coordination meetings and monitor construction quality against design standards.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, authority approvals and health & safety guidelines.
• Support project close‑out, snagging and handover, delivering accurate as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 6 years of technical interior or architectural design experience in the UAE, preferably within an interior design consultancy.
• Proven portfolio of five‑star hospitality, luxury residential or high‑end mixed‑use projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM coordination.
• Experience with SketchUp and visualization tools (advantageous).
