Senior Technical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Engineer to lead the technical coordination of high‑rise construction projects in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing material submittals, shop‑drawing reviews, and ensuring compliance with building codes and green‑building standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all engineering disciplines and act as the main liaison between architecture and structural teams.
• Review and submit material submittals, ensuring adherence to local codes, regulations, and green‑building requirements.
• Manage the project’s technical team, resolve on‑site technical issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Conduct in‑house and subcontractor shop‑drawing reviews and coordinate engineering work among subcontractors.
• Prepare technical reports, review IFC drawings, raise RFIs, and attend technical meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the UAE construction sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience on projects of 50 + floors is preferred.
• Ability to report to and support the Senior Technical Manager.

Required skills

• Knowledge of green building requirements and sustainability standards.
