Senior Technical Manager – Civil Construction

About the role

Meraki Integrated Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead technical activities on civil construction projects across the UAE. The role involves overseeing documentation, compliance, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure project schedules and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on pre‑qualification documents, material submittals, shop drawings, design calculations, method statements and other engineering submissions.
• Manage engineering, material, shop‑drawing, RFI and rebar call‑off logs to align with the baseline programme.
• Coordinate with consultants, project managers, construction, procurement, QA/QC and MEP teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Prepare and review technical packages for procurement, evaluate supplier capabilities, and support techno‑commercial tender evaluations.
• Conduct site visits, monitor technical compliance, and provide practical solutions to construction challenges.
• Lead the technical team, conduct coordination meetings, track KPIs and ensure timely delivery of as‑built drawings, O&M manuals and hand‑over documents.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years total experience, with at least 8 years in the UAE construction sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Proven experience managing commercial, residential or mixed‑use mid‑rise/high‑rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DDA, DCD, RTA, etc.).
• Current experience as a Technical Manager leading a team of 4‑5 engineers.
