Senior US Accountant (Remote) – US GAAP

About the role

MAVI is seeking a Senior US Accountant to join its remote finance team and take full ownership of month‑end close and financial reporting for US‑based SaaS and IT services clients. You will work directly with US finance leaders, acting as a trusted partner and ensuring accurate, GAAP‑compliant financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Own full month‑end close under US GAAP, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity for subscription‑based business models.
• Support deferred revenue tracking, subscription billing reconciliations and ARR reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for US stakeholders.
• Perform variance analysis and highlight key financial movements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and organized financial records.
• Collaborate directly with US Controllers, CFOs and finance leadership.
• Drive accounting process improvements and workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong US GAAP exposure.
• Background in SaaS or IT services environments preferred.
• Experience with deferred revenue, subscription accounting or recurring revenue models.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct or QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Availability to overlap with US time zones.
