Senior Water Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Water Design to lead medium to large‑scale water supply infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for delivering innovative, sustainable and technically sound solutions that satisfy client expectations, local authority requirements and international engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full design lifecycle of water supply projects, from concept and schematic design through detailed design and tender documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architecture, structural, mechanical, transportation, QS) to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Manage client, stakeholder and authority interactions to obtain design approvals and optimise cost‑effective solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Support Project Managers with planning, budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, risk management and tender preparation.
• Provide design support during construction, resolve technical issues and RFIs, and collaborate with global engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (water supply design specialization preferred).
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, engineering and planning, with at least 8 years in a top‑tier regional or multinational consultancy.
• Proven experience delivering large, complex water supply design projects in the Middle East.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; fluent English, Arabic a plus.
