Senior Wayfinding Designer

About the role

Join AECOM's Dubai studio as a Senior Wayfinding Designer, leading the creation of signage and wayfinding systems for high‑profile projects across the Middle East. You will shape user experiences through culturally‑aware, bilingual designs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of signage and wayfinding systems for large‑scale urban, retail, hospitality and mixed‑use projects.
• Create bilingual (Arabic/English) wayfinding strategies that respect regional cultural norms.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including sign location plans, message schedules and sign family designs.
• Coordinate site audits, stakeholder presentations and installation phases with Middle‑East based teams.
• Ensure compliance with regional accessibility standards, local regulations and cultural sensitivities.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in signage and wayfinding design with a strong portfolio of international or Middle‑East projects.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, environmental design, industrial design, architecture or related field.
• Familiarity with Arabic typography, cultural symbolism and regional design codes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior designers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Experience with rendering software such as Keyshot.
