Service Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Service Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to our customers and sales team. The role combines on‑site field work with remote assistance, ensuring our marine equipment operates at the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site field operations, commissioning, and troubleshooting in line with contracts or Service Level Agreements.
• Repair, service, and maintain machinery, hardware and software at customer locations.
• Perform pre‑delivery inspections and set‑up of new machines before installation.
• Prepare detailed technical reports on service activities and communicate findings internally.
• Escalate incidents through proper channels and adhere to installation guidelines and industry best practices.
• Conduct technical training sessions for customers and internal team members.
• Provide after‑sales support, including spare‑parts replacement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in technical service, commissioning, troubleshooting or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and software‑based systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving, report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently for on‑site support.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
