Sharpening / MC Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Sharpening / MC Operator to join our steel rolling mill in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining rolls used in the production line, ensuring they meet strict quality and dimensional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain roll sharpening / grinding (MC) machines.
• Perform roll grinding, sharpening, dressing, and polishing according to production requirements.
• Inspect rolls for wear, defects, and dimensional accuracy before and after processing.
• Set up, calibrate, and conduct routine maintenance on machines to guarantee consistent quality.
• Coordinate with the rolling mill team to ensure timely availability of prepared rolls.
• Follow all safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience as a Sharpening / MC Operator in a steel rolling mill.
• Hands‑on experience with roll grinding, sharpening and machine operation.
• Good understanding of roll maintenance, dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
• High school, ITI or diploma qualification.
• Immediate availability or short‑notice joining preferred.
