Shift Engineer

About the role

Manages all engineering and maintenance operations for the property, overseeing building, grounds and physical plant with a focus on safety, security and asset protection. Responsible for budget, capital projects, preventative maintenance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and water‑treatment systems.
• Ensure compliance with all facility regulations, safety standards and fire‑protection requirements.
• Distribute preventive‑maintenance and repair work orders and monitor timely, quality completion.
• Develop specifications, negotiate and administer service contracts to support building needs.
• Oversee maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, vehicles and recreational facilities.
• Plan and supervise renovation or new‑construction projects, including contractor bidding and budget control.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with 3 years engineering‑maintenance experience or an associate degree in Building/Construction, Engineering or Mechanics with 1 year experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical and plumbing systems.
