Shipping Operations Executive

About the role

The Shipping Operations Executive will be based in Dubai and report directly to the Regional Head of Operations. The role supports the Chartering/Freight, Cargo Operations and technical teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of tanker, LPG and LNG voyages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre‑fixture and post‑fixture commercial operations for MR, LR1, LR2, Aframax, VLCC and LPG/LNG carriers on spot and time‑charter voyages.
• Clear nominated vessels for proposed voyages, handling port/terminal restrictions, ship‑shore compatibility and vessel screening.
• Prepare and issue voyage instructions, stowage requirements and operational guidance to masters, owners, agents and internal stakeholders.
• Support chartering and trading teams on operational feasibility, cargo handling, terminal compatibility and risk mitigation.
• Monitor vessel movements, weather routing, speed and fuel consumption; review performance and prepare claims where applicable.
• Optimize cargo stowage, bunkering, route planning and port turnaround to protect voyage economics.
• Appoint and manage port agents and service providers, overseeing costs, disbursements and funding.
• Coordinate non‑commercial operations such as bunkering, deslopping, STS support, towage and mooring.
• Ensure compliance with international and local safety, security and environmental regulations.
