Site Civil Engineer – Fit Out Projects

About the role

The Site Civil Engineer – Fit Out Projects will be based on‑site in Abu Dhabi, overseeing all civil works related to interior fit‑out of commercial buildings. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure that partitions, floor finishes, and related civil works are executed to design standards, local regulations and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural and finishing drawings for fit‑out works.
• Coordinate with design, MEP and consultancy teams to align civil activities with overall project schedule.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor daily site progress and enforce quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare work schedules, progress reports and assist in cost control and planning.
• Manage site inspections, resolve technical issues and maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience on building construction or interior fit‑out projects, preferably in commercial or F&B environments.
• Good knowledge of UAE building codes and local authority requirements.
• Strong ability to read and interpret finishing and architectural drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
