Site Engineer - Civil

About the role

Gardinia Contracting, behind Azizi Developments, is looking for a Site Engineer (Civil) to supervise and coordinate day-to-day site construction activities for high-rise residential buildings. The role ensures that all works follow approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities so that work follows approved drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor structural and civil works, including excavation, foundations, piling, raft foundations, columns, beams, slabs, concrete works and blockwork.
• Supervise finishing works such as plastering, screeding, tiling, waterproofing, painting, façade and other architectural works.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor performance to meet project milestones.
• Identify site issues, technical discrepancies and delays and coordinate their resolution.
• Coordinate inspection requests, material approvals and work approvals with consultants and client representatives.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records and updates for the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
• Ensure works are completed within approved timelines, budget and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 4-8 years of experience in building construction projects.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential or commercial tower construction.
• Must have worked with a main contractor, construction company or real estate developer; UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Experience in structural, civil and finishing works is essential.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings.
