Site Engineer – Civil (Substation)

About the role

The Site Engineer – Civil (Substation) will oversee civil construction activities on substation projects in the UAE, ensuring work is performed in line with approved drawings, DEWA standards, quality requirements and project schedules. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and safe delivery of infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day civil construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors and project teams.
• Monitor site progress and report updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with DEWA standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
• Assist in resolving technical and operational site issues.
• Coordinate manpower, materials and site resources.
• Maintain site records and engineering documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in civil construction, preferably on substation projects in the UAE.
• DEWA approval is mandatory.
• Good understanding of civil site execution and utility project requirements.
• Familiarity with UAE safety and quality standards.
• Currently available to work in the UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
