Site Engineer

About the role

CAI Architects is seeking a full‑time Site Engineer to join its Dubai office. The role involves overseeing daily site activities, coordinating with civil and structural engineers, and ensuring that construction work follows approved architectural and engineering drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors and subcontractors on a daily basis.
• Monitor construction progress against project schedules and report deviations.
• Enforce quality control procedures and safety standards on site.
• Resolve technical issues that arise during construction, liaising with engineers and architects.
• Prepare and submit regular site reports to project managers and clients.
• Assist in resource planning and contribute to project timeline adjustments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing daily site operations in construction projects.
• Background in civil engineering with hands‑on collaboration with civil and structural teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with architects, contractors, clients, and consultants.
• Experience in high‑end interior or architectural projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Professional certification or license is an advantage.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes and regulations.
• Experience in site inspection, quality control, and compliance with specifications.
• Proficiency with site documentation tools and reporting software.
