Site Engineer Section Head - Railway Project

About the role

An experienced Site Engineer Section Head is sought to oversee and manage site engineering and construction activities for a Railway Project. The successful candidate leads site engineering teams, ensures works are executed properly and coordinates with project management, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Immediate joining is required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site engineers and construction teams within the assigned section.
• Oversee daily site activities so that works follow approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with construction, planning, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Review construction drawings, method statements and technical submittals.
• Monitor progress and keep activities within the approved schedule.
• Resolve technical and site issues with subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with approved methodologies, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Identify site constraints, solve technical problems and recommend solutions.
• Monitor manpower, equipment and material needs.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure inspection and testing procedures are implemented and attend site coordination meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Proven experience in Railway / Metro projects is mandatory.
• Strong experience in site execution, supervision and coordination.
• Ability to lead site teams and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction methodologies, technical drawings and project specifications.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
