Social Media Manager

About the role

Based in Abu Dhabi, this full‑time permanent position will lead Manchester City’s social media presence across the United Arab Emirates. You will shape the digital voice of the club’s football programmes and community initiatives, helping to grow awareness and strengthen relationships with fans, families and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create, schedule and publish content on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms.
• Develop and maintain content calendars that align with marketing objectives and local audience interests.
• Produce compelling copy, imagery and video that reflect the club’s identity and values.
• Monitor trends, competitor activity and platform updates to keep content fresh and effective.
• Support paid‑social campaigns, manage community interactions and collaborate with influencers or creators where relevant.
• Work closely with coaches, marketers, content specialists and external partners, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
• Provide regular reporting and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media for a sports, football, lifestyle or similarly audience‑led brand.
• Ability to develop and execute social media strategies that support business goals.
• Strong understanding of community‑led programmes and safeguarding requirements in a regulated environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
• Content creation skills including copywriting, photography and video editing.
• Knowledge of paid‑social advertising and social media analytics.
