Social Media Specialist

About the role

The Social Media Specialist will support the UAE National Orchestra’s organic social media strategy, creating and publishing engaging content, managing the online community, covering live events, and reporting on performance. This role transforms approved campaign priorities, bilingual messaging, visual assets, and cultural storytelling into platform‑appropriate posts that drive audience familiarity and ticket sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, create, and manage organic content (captions, stories, reels, short‑form videos, image posts, carousels, GIFs) across priority platforms.
• Plan, schedule, publish, and quality‑check posts using approved calendars and scheduling tools.
• Monitor trends, platform features, and audience behaviours to improve reach and engagement.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages in Arabic and English, and escalate sensitive issues.
• Coordinate with influencers and creators, track deliverables, and flag commercial or reputational opportunities.
• Support paid social campaigns by providing organic learnings, content options, and community insights.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English with strong written communication skills.
• Experience creating and curating content for cultural or arts organisations.
• Ability to work closely with graphic designers, marketing managers, and communications teams.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of social media trends, music and cultural storytelling formats.
• Professional, culturally appropriate, and timely community management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).
• Experience using social media scheduling tools.
• Content creation for short‑form video, image, and carousel formats.
• Bilingual Arabic/English content creation and editing.
