Social Media Specialist

About the role

The Social Media Specialist will manage the supermarket’s presence across major social platforms, creating and curating engaging content while fostering community interaction. This role works closely with marketing, content, and customer service teams to ensure alignment with brand identity and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a social media strategy that supports overall marketing goals.
• Maintain and schedule posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other platforms.
• Create original visual and written content, including images, videos, graphics, and copy.
• Collaborate with photographers, designers and videographers for high‑quality assets.
• Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages and reviews promptly.
• Monitor user‑generated content and share positive customer stories.
• Track, analyze and report on KPIs such as engagement rates, follower growth and click‑through rates.
• Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics) to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
• Stay updated on social media trends, tools and best practices, and conduct competitor analysis.
