Social Worker

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to support the academic success, emotional wellbeing and social development of students from FS1 to Year 13. The role begins in September 2026 and is based on the school’s purpose‑built campus on Al Reem Island.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and intervene to address students’ personal, social and emotional needs.
• Provide family support services to ensure safe and nurturing home environments.
• Strengthen collaboration between school and home, facilitating communication and joint problem‑solving.
• Partner with teachers, external agencies and community resources to coordinate support plans.
• Promote student wellbeing through individual counselling, group programmes and preventative initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified social worker with experience working with children and families.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding and safeguarding policies.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills across multicultural settings.
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention plans and monitor outcomes.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive school community.
