Sociology Professor (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Sociology Professor to develop and deliver asynchronous course content for undergraduate and graduate programs. The instructor will create syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments, and provide timely feedback to support student success.

Key responsibilities

• Design and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments for postsecondary sociology courses.
• Deliver asynchronous instruction through weekly modules, including lectures, readings, discussions, and assignments.
• Grade student work using rubrics and provide detailed feedback within 48 hours.
• Maintain academic integrity by enforcing course policies and addressing misconduct.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Sociology or a closely related field.
• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably online or hybrid.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
