Software Engineer (.NET & Java) – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong C#/.NET expertise and Java exposure to join our fast‑moving fintech team in Abu Dhabi. You will work on high‑availability, mission‑critical payment platforms that process thousands of transactions daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and support enterprise payment applications and transaction processing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across critical payment platforms.
• Deliver enhancements and new functionality for both legacy and modern application environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure platform stability, performance and scalability.
• Support integrations with payment gateways, transaction switches and other financial services infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to platform modernisation and technology migration projects.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using C# and the .NET framework.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server and database development.
• Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise‑scale applications.
• Familiarity with enterprise middleware and integration technologies.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Exposure to payment processing, transaction switching or card‑based payment systems is highly desirable.
