Spanish-Speaking Restaurant Waiter / Waitress

About the role

Kempinski is hiring a Spanish-speaking waiter or waitress for its restaurant outlet in Dubai. The role covers serving food and beverages to guests with courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that encourages sales and maximizes guest satisfaction. The position reports to the Head Waiter / Waitress, Supervisor, Assistant Manager and Outlet Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests and provide a courteous, professional and efficient service at all times.
• Perform all duties and tasks required at the outlet, including opening and closing procedures.
• Know all hotel services and products, and all food and beverage items offered by the assigned department.
• Explain and perform upselling of items and offer alternatives.
• Monitor operating supplies and equipment, reduce spoilage and wastage, and keep the workplace clean and organized.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, report guest complaints and feedback to supervisors and follow up on complaints.
• Operate the POS system according to the assigned training level.
• Adhere to hotel policies and fire, hygiene, health and safety rules, and assist with scheduled product and equipment inventories.

Required profile

• Experience in an F&B service role.
• Excellent spoken and written English; an additional language is an advantage.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients or vendors.
• Good organizational and time management skills, and a professional, confidential and ethical approach.
• Ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively.
