Specialist & Consultant Endocrinologist

About the role

SEHA is seeking a qualified Endocrinology specialist to join its Al Ain hospital. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive endocrine care, lead clinical procedures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, take histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer appropriate medications, therapies, and perform necessary procedures or surgeries related to endocrinology.
• Collaborate with other medical specialists, departments, and support services to deliver integrated patient care.
• Document all clinical information accurately and timely in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities to enhance patient safety and care standards.
• Provide supervision, instruction, and mentorship to junior medical staff, residents, and students.
• Communicate clinical information compassionately to patients and families, obtaining informed consent as required.
• Adhere to hospital policies, DOH regulations, occupational health and safety, and infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Completed residency or fellowship in endocrinology or a related specialization.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience post‑specialization.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility letter, plus current registration from the most recent practicing country.
• Certificate of good standing from the relevant licensing authority and successful completion of the DOH licensing exam.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are an asset.
