Specialist Consultant Pulmonologist – Government Sector, UAE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Specialist/Consultant Pulmonologist to join a leading government healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of respiratory diseases including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary infections.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and other respiratory investigations.
• Manage complex critical‑care cases in collaboration with intensive care and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct or supervise bronchoscopy and other pulmonary procedures where trained.
• Participate in case discussions, clinical decision‑making and documentation.
• Contribute to education, mentoring and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine.
• Specialist or Consultant‑level clinical experience, preferably with UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board or equivalent Western qualification.
• Strong background in managing complex respiratory cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and high‑quality patient care.
