About the role
The Specialist, Corporate Affairs supports the delivery of TA'ZIZ's corporate affairs agenda across the holding company, its 19 legal entities and five joint‑venture companies. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Affairs, the role maintains the register of corporate documentation, drafts briefing material for senior leadership and coordinates the internal inputs required for corporate submissions.
Key responsibilities
- Create and implement the corporate affairs strategy for TA'ZIZ HoldCo, its legal entities and JV companies.
- Monitor licence, renewal, NOC, permit and power of attorney cycles, maintaining a live register of expiry dates and owners.
- Coordinate internal inputs and external submissions to secure stakeholder approvals, ensuring completeness and compliance.
- Prepare briefing notes, position papers and pre‑read packs for the CEO, Board and committees.
- Manage the function's contributions to internal tender boards, delegations of authority, business plans and performance reviews.
- Maintain the corporate affairs calendar of statutory, shareholder and government commitments and drive owners to meet deadlines.
- Oversee consistency of messaging across internal and external stakeholders in alignment with the Communications function.
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments affecting the chemicals sector and advise on implications for TA'ZIZ.
- Support the maintenance of stakeholder registers, MOU records and points of contact.
- Prepare periodic progress reporting on approvals, permits, POAs and engagements.
- Escalate approval, permit and regulatory risks early with necessary facts for decision‑making.
- Provide input for budgeting, track variances and assist in cost control.
- Implement approved policies, processes and standards in line with company and international standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Law or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in corporate affairs, government relations or corporate services.
- Working knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi company licensing, permits, NOCs and power of attorney processes.
- Experience preparing material for senior executives and engaging with government bodies and regulatory authorities.
- Strong drafting, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities, attention to detail on records, deadlines and compliance obligations.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic for drafting and correspondence.
Required skills
- Ability to gather, synthesise and report corporate affairs information to support critical decision‑making.
- Working knowledge of UAE corporate, commercial and industrial licensing requirements and the relevant authorities.
- Capability to prepare accurate briefing notes, submissions and meeting material to an executive standard.
- Proficiency in identifying and analysing key stakeholders, their interests and influence, and mapping effective engagement strategies.
