Specialist Flow Assurance

About the role

The Specialist Flow Assurance will guide engineers on scale‑management activities, analyse well‑related scale and asphaltene problems and recommend corrective measures. The role also involves researching the latest technologies, chemicals and equipment to improve well performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on handling scale deposits throughout well completion and update the Scale Simulation Model software.
• Identify scale and asphaltene issues and design chemical or mechanical removal programmes.
• Define scope of work for chemical selection testing and supervise field‑trial monitoring and evaluation.
• Audit implementation programmes to ensure compliance with the Scale Management System standards.
• Oversee system outputs, detect sub‑standard practices and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with chemical suppliers and service‑company engineers to stay current on monitoring, treatment and prevention techniques.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop staff to achieve proficiency in scale‑management tasks.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in scale and asphaltene management.
• Proven ability to supervise field trials, conduct audits and work with external suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating chemical performance and system outputs.
• Excellent communication skills for training and cross‑functional coordination.
