Specialist Interventional Cardiologist

About the role

Al Sharq Healthcare, a premium healthcare brand in Fujairah, UAE, is seeking a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist to join its JCI‑accredited multi‑specialty hospital. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality interventional cardiac care and contribute to the institution’s clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterisation and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting and primary PCI.
• Independently manage elective and emergency PCI procedures, covering STEMI and acute coronary syndromes.
• Handle acute cardiac emergencies such as myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock and other critical conditions.
• Evaluate and manage cardiology out‑patients and in‑patients, interpret investigations and determine appropriate medical, interventional or surgical treatment.
• Participate in the 24/7 primary PCI/STEMI service and on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Higher Professional Degree / Specialty certificate recognised by the UAE Ministry of Health.
• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or DO) followed by Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship.
• Completed fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
• Active DHA/MOH/HADD licence as a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist or eligibility for such licence.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post‑qualification experience in interventional cardiology.
