Specialist Process Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Process Engineer to provide technical assurance and compliance for contractor deliverables on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that process designs meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while supporting safe and efficient project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Verify technical integrity of process deliverables against legislation, codes, standards, and the Basis of Design.
• Monitor, approve, and witness contractor and licensor process engineering activities.
• Coordinate the exchange of process documents between the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) and contractors.
• Act as the single point of contact for licensor, contractor, and company on process design matters.
• Supervise and provide direction to the IPMT process engineering team within the assigned scope.
• Ensure process engineering schedules align with overall project requirements.
• Attend internal and external project reviews, progress meetings, and risk analysis sessions.
• Support the company in execution, interface management, and continuous improvement of HSE performance.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with substantial experience in process engineering within energy, chemicals, or resources projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory commitments, and industry codes and standards.
• Proven ability to supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with contractors, licensors, and internal stakeholders.
