Specialist Process Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

The Specialist Process Engineer will provide expert technical oversight for process engineering activities on a major ADNOC offshore project, ensuring design integrity and supporting all project phases from FEED through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical expertise for process engineering and design activities on a major ADNOC offshore project.
• Review and validate EPC contractor deliverables such as design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, datasheets, calculations, equipment and line sizing, relief and blowdown studies.
• Perform or review process simulations using Aspen HYSYS and PRO‑II and generate heat & material balances.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and other safety reviews, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, piping, electrical and civil disciplines.
• Support construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up phases and troubleshoot process‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive offshore oil & gas process engineering experience, including FEED and detailed engineering on EPC/PMC projects.
• Previous experience on ADNOC or similar offshore projects is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to review contractor and vendor engineering deliverables and manage multidisciplinary interfaces.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools: Aspen HYSYS, PRO‑II.
• Development and review of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Heat and material balance calculations.
• Equipment and line sizing, relief load and PSV sizing.
• Process safety analyses (HAZID, HAZOP) and shutdown/relief philosophy.
