Specialist Sub-Contracts Engineer

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Specialist Sub‑Contracts Engineer to join a PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees the full lifecycle of sub‑contracts on large‑scale engineering and construction initiatives, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the procurement, execution and close‑out of all sub‑contracts.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against schedule, cost and quality targets.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with EPC teams and client representatives to resolve issues and optimise delivery.
• Prepare and maintain detailed sub‑contract documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (any discipline).
• Minimum 17 years of relevant experience.
• At least 10 years on mega oil‑and‑gas processing projects.
• 10 + years in subcontracting, procurement or project management, preferably within EPC or oil & gas.
• Experience with ADNOC projects is an advantage.
