Specialist Taxation (Emiratized)

About the role

The Specialist Taxation (Emiratized) will ensure accurate monthly VAT data collection, consolidation and filing for the FAB Group. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants to support tax compliance, system enhancements and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review and consolidate monthly VAT data and prepare FAB Group VAT returns.
• Perform monthly transactional reviews and reconciliations for AOV submissions.
• Support tax payments, journal entries and reconciliations in line with internal policies.
• Gather indirect tax data from international branches and subsidiaries to identify potential issues.
• Assist the tax team coordinator on IT projects, reconciliations and user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with external consultants and tax authorities as required.
• Prepare VAT/GST filing documents and support finance/IT system projects related to tax data.
• Stay updated on tax technical developments and support audit data preparation.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proven ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across the bank.
• Experience dealing with external consultants and tax authorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of VAT/GST regulations and compliance processes.
