Staff Nurse - Adult ICU

About the role

A healthcare organization in Dubai is looking for a qualified and compassionate ICU nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centred critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The role suits someone with strong clinical skills, the ability to work in fast-paced environments and a commitment to patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU according to clinical standards and protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status and overall condition, responding promptly to changes.
• Operate and monitor ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors and other life-support systems.
• Administer medications, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist physicians during procedures and emergency interventions.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, assessments and progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support and educate patients and families about treatment and recovery.
• Take part in quality improvement and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in a hospital.
• Valid nursing licence from home country and eligibility for a Dubai nursing licence (DHA eligibility, licence or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to work in Dubai.
• Experience in tertiary care or accredited hospitals is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, equipment and patient monitoring.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
