Staff Nurse – Cardiac ICU (Critical Care)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced Staff Nurses to join the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The role involves delivering direct and indirect patient care to a diverse cardiac ICU population, applying evidence‑based nursing practices, and supporting patients’ psychosocial needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate admission assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans based on nursing theory and clinical judgment.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with approved protocols.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, procedures, equipment use, medication safety, injury prevention, and nutrition.
• Supervise Practical Nurses and collaborate with multidisciplinary health‑care professionals.
• Document care activities, resolve customer service issues, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with best nursing practices.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of recent Cardiovascular or Thoracic ICU experience.
• ECMO certification is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and address behavioral, growth, development, and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
