Staff Nurse - Cath Lab

About the role

PureHealth is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join its Cath Lab team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing high‑quality nursing care during cardiac interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other interventional procedures.
• Prepare the Cath Lab suite, verifying that all equipment and instruments are ready and functional.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and sedation, maintaining patient safety.
• Provide pre‑procedure education and post‑procedure care instructions to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, medications, and nursing care.
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and sterile technique standards.
• Participate in emergency cardiac care, including Code Blue situations when required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Valid nursing license/registration with the relevant UAE authority (e.g., DOH, DHA, MOH).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Cath Lab, ICU, or Cardiac Care Unit.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high‑acuity environment.
• Preference for experience in a tertiary‑care or cardiac specialty hospital and certification in Critical Care or Cardiac Nursing.
• Bilingual Arabic and English skills are an advantage.
