Staff Nurse – Dermatology Clinic

About the role

The American Hospital is seeking a full‑time Staff Nurse for its Dermatology Clinic in Dubai. The role involves delivering patient‑centered care, performing a wide range of dermatological procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wound dressing, suture removal, blood extraction and PRP preparation.
• Assist with advanced dermatology treatments such as ultraviolet therapy, electrocautery, mole mapping, iontophoresis, microneedling, fractional laser, broadband light, Erbium YAG laser, and vascular laser procedures.
• Support skin excisions, biopsies, incision and drainage, cryotherapy, patch tests, mesotherapy, and HydraFacial treatments.
• Document patient assessments, maintain supplies, ensure compliance with JCIA standards, and participate in continuous quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (minimum 3‑year program) or equivalent degree (minimum 2‑year program).
• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in home country and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years of recent post‑graduate experience in dermatology nursing.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Wound dressing and suture removal.
• Blood extraction and centrifugation for Platelet‑Rich Plasma (PRP).
• Ultraviolet therapy, electrocautery support, mole mapping.
• Iontophoresis, microneedling radiofrequency, fractional laser, broadband light, Erbium YAG laser, vascular laser.
• Skin excisions, biopsies, incision and drainage.
• Cryotherapy, patch testing, mesotherapy, HydraFacial.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
