Staff Nurse – Emergency

About the role

The Emergency Department at Ghayathi Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting the hospital’s mission, vision and values while ensuring safe and effective emergency services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing scope of practice.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, midwives, junior staff and student nurses, acting as a preceptor when required.
• Coordinate individualized care from admission through discharge, including discharge planning.
• Identify and act on significant changes in patient condition, reporting to physicians or supervisors as needed.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient responses, report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Respond to emergencies following organizational protocols and promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach.
• Participate in performance reviews, organizational change initiatives and uphold the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi.
