Staff Nurse – Emergency (TP)

About the role

Provides direct and indirect age‑specific care for patients in the Emergency Department of American Hospital Dubai, ensuring safe, high‑quality care in line with Joint Commission International standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and revise care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Interpret arterial blood gases, basic ECGs, and monitor arterial and central venous pressures.
• Manage chest tubes, central and implanted venous access devices, and provide emergency medication administration.
• Conduct COVID‑19 PCR testing, intubation, intra‑osseous infusion, and rapid strep point‑of‑care testing.
• Provide pediatric emergency care, including fluid calculations, airway management, and tracheostomy care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and registration as a RN in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• Minimum two years recent Emergency Room experience and valid BLS, BCLS, PALS, ACLS certifications (ACLS to be obtained within six months).
• Valid license/registration in the country of last employment and ability to obtain UAE licensure.
