Staff Physician – Emergency Medicine

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine physicians to join its Integrated Hospital Care Institute. The position is a senior consultant role responsible for delivering high‑quality emergency care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in the Emergency Medicine department.
• Prescribe medications, perform procedures and, when appropriate, surgical interventions.
• Document clinical findings, manage referrals, and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to maintain high standards of patient safety and quality.
• Participate in administrative duties such as committees, task forces, and performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO with recognized specialty certification (American Board or Royal College of Canada).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 physicians or 5 years for Tier 2 physicians.
• Valid medical license in the country of last employment and ability to meet maintenance‑of‑certification requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a healthcare team and work effectively with patients and staff.
