Staff Physician – Hospitalist

About the role

The Hospitalist Staff Physician will join the Integrated Hospital Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, delivering comprehensive inpatient care within the Hospital Medicine specialty. The role involves direct patient management, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to the clinic’s high standards of clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide inpatient care for patients in the Hospital Medicine service.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and specialized treatments.
• Analyze medical records, lab results, and imaging to diagnose conditions.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and test results to patients and families.
• Perform appropriate surgical procedures and operations.
• Document patient encounters accurately for clinical and referral purposes.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure coordinated, culturally sensitive care.
• Participate in committees, task forces, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Board‑certified specialization in Internal Medicine from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 country.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 physicians or 5 years for Tier 2 physicians.
• Commitment to ethical practice and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
