Staff Physician – Infectious Diseases

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking an internationally qualified Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join its medical staff as a Staff Physician. The role involves direct patient care within the Integrated Hospital Care Institute – Infectious Diseases specialty, as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide comprehensive care to patients with infectious diseases.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and other specialized treatments.
• Analyze medical records, laboratory reports and test results to establish diagnoses.
• Gather detailed patient histories and communicate procedures, test outcomes and treatment plans.
• Document clinical notes and referrals in accordance with institutional policies.
• Coordinate with medical and non‑medical staff to maintain culturally appropriate care.
• Participate in administrative activities such as committees, task forces and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to ethical, regulatory and clinical privilege guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years (Tier 1) or 5 years (Tier 2) post‑qualification experience in Infectious Diseases.
• Valid medical license/registration in the home country or last place of employment.
• Maintenance of Certification compliance where applicable.
• Ability to manage a multidisciplinary health‑care team.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic language skills preferred.
