Staff Physician – Psychiatry

About the role

The Neurological Institute – Psychiatry specialty at CCAD is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its medical staff as a Staff Physician. The role involves delivering high‑quality psychiatric care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to academic and evidence‑based practice.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide direct patient care within the psychiatry specialty.
• Prescribe and administer medication, therapy, and other specialized treatments.
• Analyze medical records, reports, and test results to diagnose conditions.
• Gather comprehensive patient histories and discuss treatment plans.
• Document clinical notes and coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Liaise with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure quality care.
• Provide culturally appropriate and sensitive services.
• Participate in administrative duties such as committees, task forces, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Fulfill on‑call coverage as required.

Required profile

• Tier 1 qualification with at least two years of post‑qualification experience.
• Valid medical license/registration in the home country or country of last employment.
• MD, MBBS, MBChB, DO, or equivalent with recognized specialty certification.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, scholarly activity, and evidence‑based practice.
