Stakeholder Manager – Transport & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Manager to lead engagement and approvals for major transport and infrastructure projects across Dubai and the UAE. The role serves as the primary interface between project teams, government authorities, utility providers and other key stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communication strategies for Dubai projects.
• Identify, analyse and manage project stakeholders throughout all design phases.
• Act as the main point of contact for government authorities, utility providers and transportation agencies.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, technical reviews and coordination sessions.
• Coordinate authority submissions, reviews, comments and approvals.
• Maintain stakeholder registers, approval trackers and engagement reports.
• Monitor stakeholder commitments, risks and dependencies, providing regular progress updates to project leadership.
• Support risk management by identifying stakeholder‑related risks and implementing mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, Infrastructure Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in stakeholder management on major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and authority approvals.
• Previous experience in an international engineering consultancy environment is highly desirable.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); bilingual Arabic/English is strongly preferred.
