Steward – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Steward supports the hotel’s food and beverage operations by maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and service areas. This role is based at W Hotels in Abu Dhabi and involves handling dishwashing equipment, waste management, and stock organization.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen tools, knives, tables, silverware and other equipment using the three‑compartment sink.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored in proper locations.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage trash and recycling.
• Clean and mop assigned department areas, dispose of glass safely and break down cardboard for recycling.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience is necessary.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
