Steward – Luxury Resort in Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Steward to join the Food & Beverage team at Meliá Desert Palm, a luxury urban resort in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across all kitchen areas and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe storage, handling and use of all chemicals while wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Clean all surfaces, equipment and waste areas according to schedule, keeping the hotel’s hygiene standards.
• Maintain dishwashing areas and equipment, coordinating maintenance with Engineering as needed.
• Support the hotel’s energy‑conservation and environmental policies.
• Uphold food hygiene standards and comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Report and correct any health or safety hazards, liaising with Engineering for repairs.
• Instruct staff on emergency measures and ensure a stocked first‑aid kit is available in the kitchen.
• Keep exit routes clear and kitchen work areas tidy at all times.
• Perform any additional duties requested by hotel management.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Team‑player attitude with good communication skills.
