Structural Engineer – Mixed Use Development

About the role

Mace is delivering a large mixed‑use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi, comprising commercial workplaces, retail units and a public realm. The role provides technical assurance across structural and interfacing trades, supporting accurate control, verification and compliance throughout the project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site engineering and dimensional control, ensuring robust verification before follow‑on works.
• Oversee trade contractors, ITP compliance, inspection records and resolve design and technical queries.
• Drive temporary works procedures, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to maintain alignment on design standards, specifications and project deliverables.
• Provide expert advice on building safety legislation, building codes, HSE requirements, construction contracts and FIDIC Yellow Book conditions.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified civil/structural engineer with professional accreditation.
• Strong UAE experience on mixed‑use projects, including codes and authority approvals.
• Proven technical leadership, independent judgement and effective stakeholder communication.
