Structural Inspector – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Structural Inspector to oversee and verify structural works for various infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of demolition, construction, and installation of structures such as reservoirs, lifting stations, lagoons, swimming pools, substations, retaining walls, tunnels, and bridges.
• Maintain project office files, quantity calculations, daily diaries, and prepare daily reports.
• Verify that only approved materials are used and collect relevant documentation (Certificates of Compliance, SDS, inspection tags).
• Coordinate with sub‑consultants for surveying and material testing.
• Support development of job safety practices, quality control procedures, and respond to emergency call‑backs.
• Document non‑conformances and assist in resolution, providing technical guidance to junior inspectors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a structural inspector within the region.
• Knowledge of public‑works contracts and construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
