Structural Supervisor – Fabrication

About the role

This position offers an experienced Structural Supervisor the chance to lead structural steel fabrication activities for a high‑profile client in the oil and gas sector. You will ensure that all work complies with ADNOC standards, project specifications and Wood’s EPCM execution requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day fabrication processes including cutting, drilling, fit‑up, welding and assembly of structural steel components.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, detailing and planning teams to interpret drawings and maintain smooth workflow.
• Monitor productivity, material availability and equipment utilisation to meet schedule targets.
• Enforce HSE policies and ADNOC safety standards throughout the shop.
• Oversee inspections, ensure compliance with welding procedures, dimensional tolerances and coating requirements.
• Provide regular progress reports to construction and project management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural steel fabrication, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or similar Middle‑East EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding codes (AISC, AWS, BS/EN) and HSE requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, fabrication and GA drawings.
• Leadership experience managing multicultural workforces.
