Student Success Officer

About the role

The Student Success Officer supports students in achieving academic progress, engagement and retention, contributing to successful graduation. Working within the Student Success Center, the role involves proactive outreach, coordination with university units and delivery of support programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and identify challenges affecting student academic success.
• Follow up with students showing signs of academic difficulty and implement early‑alert interventions.
• Develop and monitor individual support plans in collaboration with university departments.
• Refer students to appropriate services such as advising, counseling, learning resources and career services.
• Maintain regular communication to ensure effective use of support services and track student progress.
• Assist in orientation, workshops and skill‑development programs for new and existing students.
• Coordinate with colleges and faculty regarding students needing additional support.
• Keep accurate records of cases, programs and activities, and prepare periodic reports.
• Collect feedback, contribute to satisfaction surveys and support awareness campaigns.
• Uphold student confidentiality and comply with university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Psychology, Counseling, Management or a related field.
• Additional training in academic advising or student support services is preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in higher education, student affairs, academic advising or student support services.
