Subcontract Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Subcontract Engineer to support the Field Control Manager in administering subcontract agreements, handling amendments, and ensuring smooth contract execution within our EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage contract changes with subcontractors.
• Handle cost, delay, and variation claims, and review subcontractor progress invoices.
• Maintain comprehensive subcontract documentation, including claim histories, change orders, and back‑charge records.
• Report potential claims related to delays or disruptions and respond to subcontractor claims through official correspondence.
• Prepare claim details, issue notifications of claim, and attend weekly construction meetings to mitigate liabilities.
• Review subcontractor proposals for additional work and prepare approval paperwork (RRC, GRRC, Tender Board).
• Ensure subcontract terms provide full back‑to‑back coverage with client contracts.
• Issue approved contracts, manage amendments, call‑offs, and purchase orders, and keep accurate logs.

Required profile

• Experience in subcontract administration and contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with claim handling, variation orders, and progress invoice review.
• Ability to maintain detailed subcontract records and documentation.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and correspondence with subcontractors and internal teams.
